MPAL has partnered with the Chill Foundation to offer a six-week skateboarding program for youth ages 10+ on Thursday afternoons starting September 16. Space is limited to 15 participants and pre-registration is required. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up. Participants should plan to attend all six sessions, each running from 3:15 until 5:45.
This program is separate from the MPAL Wednesday night skateboarding program. Priority will be given to youth who are not already participating in the Wednesday program.
Chill’s program is much more than a learn-to-skate program. Chill’s curriculum consists of experiential learning activities and discussions paired with skating lessons. Their six core values: Respect, Courage, Patience, Persistence, Responsibility, and Pride provide youth with a foundation and framework for learning and personal growth, connecting these values both to responsible skateboarding and to their everyday lives.
No prior experience or equipment is required.
Participants will be required to complete a Chill registration form with parent signature.
