Academic success is a key component to any child's success in life. MPAL offers academic tutoring to any participants who need or want extra help. Tutoring is provided by students from Saint Anselm College who have a long history of volunteering at MPAL. The Michael Briggs Community Center also has a computer lab and homework area for participants to have a safe and structured environment to complete their school work. The Building on Hope renovation project will provide dedicated space for MPAL Participants to study and receive tutoring.
All participants must show commitment to school though presenting report cards to Officer Levasseur. Students who are under preforming in school are required to go to a study hall / homework room to complete school work before they can participate in the gym.
Law Enforcement Explorer posts help youth to gain insight into the law enforcement field through experiential based learning and mentorship. Exploring offers numerous fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of adolescent youth. In addition to teaching members about policing, we are a community service based group and are very active within the Manchester community. Call for details!
