About MPAL

Bringing Cops & Kids Together

The Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) is an after school organization that connects cops and kids. MPAL is a 501(c)3 non-profit that is run by a Manchester Police Officer assigned full time to the organization. MPAL offers athletic and enrichment programs including aikido, arm wrestling, boxing, cooking, homework help, judo, robotics, and wrestling. The goal of the organization is to provide youth with a safe, positive environment where police officers serve as coaches and mentors. MPAL also relies on a group of dedicated volunteers to provide expert coaching and development opportunities for participants. All programs are 100% free of charge, making them accessible to all youth who want to participate. Learn more about our programs and check out our schedule.

MPAL Mission Statement

The Manchester Police Athletic League strives to foster and maintain positive relationships between the youth of the Greater Manchester area and members of the Manchester Police Department. MPAL offers area youth a safe structured environment to help kids grow, make the right choices and become productive members of the community. By providing mentoring along with sports and academic instruction in the after school/early evening hours, we believe we are making champions both in and out of the gym.
